Function/Applications

Simplex Data 
The Globalstar Simplex satellite data service provides an affordable one-way satellite data delivery service across Australia / New Zealand, It is ideal for tracking and monitoring mobile assets and monitoring fixed assests with applications including container tracking, road and rail transport, heavy industrial equipment and other remote assets.  

Duplex data
ORBCOMM provides low cost two-way data communications services through 29 low-earth orbit (LEO) satellites and accompanying ground infrastructure.   ORBCOMM's products target remote M2M opportunities and are installed on vehicles and trailers, mining equipment, utility and environmental monitoring.  The system can send and receive short messages of between six bytes and several kilobytes in near real-time.
