M2M Connectivity has signed to be the distributor in Australia and New Zealand for the satellite/GPS range of antennas from Hirschmann Car Communications, an international leader in antenna manufacturing. Hirschmann develop and produce individually adapted and optimized antennas for GPS/Orbcomm and Iridium networks.
“We are excited to offer the high quality Hirschmann Orbcomm and Iridium antennas as a complement to our portfolio of satellite modems. This new offering is a result of our concentrated efforts to expand M2M Connectivity’s accessories range to complement our existing range of products, thereby improving product choice and accessibility for our customers,” said Darren Moroney, General Manager of M2M Connectivity.
M2M Connectivity will supply a range of Hirschmann antennas for the Orbcomm and Iridium satellite networks that provide low-cost global data solutions and communication services to remote areas. The new range of Hirschmann antennas include Orbcomm quarter wave roof or magnetic mount as well as multi-mode models for Orbcomm+GPS and Orbcomm+GPS+GSM. For Iridium there are low profile antennas with roof or magnetic mount and various connector options. A range of multi-mode Iridium antennas is due to launch in the coming months. Hirschmann cables and connectors are also available.
