AN Australian company has developed an O-Ring that satisfies the need by the wine, beer and dairy industries for a quality product that has been granted FDA approval.
The new BSM O-Ring from Ludowici Seals is commonly used on coupling seats on delivery or transfer hoses, and hosts some unique qualities that surpass the expectations of the wine, beer and dairy producing industries.
This industry group requires O-Rings to be resistant to hot wash solutions that is produced from an FDA approved compound.
The compound used to produce the Ludowici O-Rings complies with FDA approved Compound No. E7014F : ASTM D2000 M3CA 707 A25 B44 - B35 - C32 - EA14 - F19 Z (Z:FD) which is an EPDM black rubber material.
The risk in using O-Rings that are manufactured from a compound that is not FDA approved is the possibility of contamination.
Alien or harmful ingredients from the O-Ring could leak out into the fluid causing immense repercussions for the companies involved and ultimately the consumer.
Product which is granted FDA approval helps to safeguard against these risks.
