Industry-leading provider of pallet and retail ready solutions, Loscam
has entered the bulk containers segment with the release of the IBC I6.
One of the lightest IBCs (Intermediate Bulk Containers) on the market, the IBC I6 provides customers advantages in manual handling and gains in transport efficiency. Featuring a unique integrated lid, the IBC assists customers in the handling and tracking of rented units. The IBC I6 has been developed based on customer feedback.
Bulla, one of Australia’s leading dairy products companies and a Loscam customer transfers industrial volumes of cream and yogurt between their manufacturing sites, and also to external customers. According to David Mahoney, Bulla’s Procurement Manager, their feedback was incorporated into the IBC I6 design, thereby meeting all their expectations.
Brownes Foods, which has been using Loscam’s wooden and plastic pallets for many years for their dairy business was keen to trial and take delivery of its first load of new IBCs. Assistant Warehouse Manager, Baden Radford finds the IBC simpler to use while also delivering cost benefits to the company.
Greek yoghurt specialists, Chobani in Victoria recently began using the IBCs to store sweet yoghurt products. Having used Loscam’s wooden pallets for a long time, the company saw the safety benefits of the new IBC I6. Joris Dorsman, General Manager of Supply Chain at Chobani explains that the pallecons used previously didn’t stack very easily but the new IBCs are interlocking, allowing them to be stacked on top of each other safely four high, and facilitating better space utilisation.
