The first China Merchants Loscam International Conference was held in Melbourne in September following Loscam’s acquisition by China Merchants Group in 2010.

Themed ‘One Loscam’, the conference was attended by approximately 80 management executives from Australia, SE Asia and Greater China.

Dr Raymond Yu, Vice President of China Merchants Group and Director of China Merchants Loscam addressed the conference.

A site tour to the Truganina Super Depot was organised for all participants on the first day of the conference. The Truganina Super Depot is the first major capital expenditure in the business by China Merchants Group since it acquired Loscam. The $20 million facility is situated on 31,500m² of land and can accommodate up to 11 repair lines with a total repair capacity of 18,000 pallets per day.

The three-day conference was hosted by Mark Daniel, CEO of China Merchants Loscam. During the conference, he discussed the challenges and strategies in different regions with the country and state managers.

In addition to the business review and forecast, a One Loscam-themed workshop was also organised by a well-known Australian corporate management consultant firm to deliver the importance of communication and teamwork within the organisation.

Loscam is a leading provider of Returnable Package Handling (RPH) solutions for use in Australia and Asian supply chains.
