Logitech Australia have announced their Logitech Squeezebox Boom all-in-one network music player. The Logitech Squeezebox Boom all-in-one network music player comes with an integrated amplifier, high-performance speakers and a simplified setup.
The Logitech Squeezebox Boom delivers high-quality audio in a compact, all-in-one design.
With the Logitech Squeezebox Boom all-in-one network music player, one can listen to digital music in the kitchen, the bedroom or any other room in the home without attaching any external speakers. The new Logitech network music player can be plugged into a power outlet. Then, using the existing home network, one can listen to the music from the personal collection on the computer or from the favourite Internet radio stations.
Squeezebox Boom can be added to the network in a simple manner. The new Logitech player automatically detects the available networks. Once the network is selected, enter the password and Squeezebox Boom automatically remembers the password for future use.
The Squeezebox network music system can be expanded for listening to different music in another room of the home. This is done by simply adding additional Squeezebox Boom players in any room of choice or rooms that have an existing stereo system.
After registering the Squeezebox Boom network music player, one can access thousands of radio stations and millions of songs, aggregated by SqueezeNetwork Logitech’s free, online service. Squeezebox Boom uses true 802.11g wireless technology and dual internal antennas with the help of an optimised wireless-network speed and a secure connection.
The Squeezebox Boom network music player offers an integrated, all-digital 30-watt amplifier accompanied by two ¾-inch, high-definition, soft-dome tweeters and two 3-inch, high-power, long-throw woofers. A bi-amplified design includes a high-performance signal processor, class-D amplifier and digital crossover to deliver a crystal clear sound with minimal noise and distortion. For bass lovers, the Squeezebox Boom even includes a subwoofer connection.
The Logitech Squeezebox Boom network music player works as an alarm clock. It comes with six preset buttons, located under the display.
The remote control controls the Squeezebox Boom across the room. The remote includes a tiny magnet that can be easily attached to the top of the Squeezebox Boom.
The new Squeezebox Boom is part of the Squeezebox family of products that includes the award-winning Logitech Squeezebox Duet network music system, Logitech Squeezebox network music player, as well as the audiophiles’ choice, the Logitech Transporter network music player.
