As Australia’s major Association focused on logistics & supply chain management, the Logistics Association of Australia (LAA) is leading the industry into the e-world of the 21st century.
The LAA provides a voice for everybody involved in logistics. Professional, practitioners and students are all represented and serviced by the LAA. What’s more, all are offered memberships to this open, non-profit organisation.
The organisation represents the industry locally as well as overseas. It acts as an effective conduit between logistics professionals and industry, government, education bodies and so forth.
As such, one of the LAA’s main objectives is to keep its members up to date on the latest trends, techniques and technologies affecting the international logistics industry. Monthly newsletters and communications, site visits and seminars are some of the services it provides.
And it actively supports organizations in the provision of logistics and related exhibitions, workshops and conferences.
Operated by a committee of elected member logistics professionals, the LAA lists its vision statement, thus:
“To serve and advance the Logistics and Supply Chain profession in Australia.”
Its mission is to be the Australian professional organisation to which people associated with logistics and supply chain belong, by:
- Creating value for members and stakeholders
- Collaborating responsibly with relevant organisations
- Developing the profession by facilitating the exchange of knowledge and experience
- Encouraging, recognising and rewarding achievements and excellence within the profession
