THE Victorian minister for manufacturing and export, André Haermeyer, has officially opened The Locker Group’ s head office and manufacturing facility in Dandenong South.
Haermeyer said the new head office would add to the group’s existing manufacturing plants in NSW, New Zealand and the Asian region. He congratulated the group on the new facility saying it incorporated best practice in plant layout and office design and exemplified the company’s commitment to manufacturing excellence.
“I’m delighted to see another leading manufacturer has chosen Victoria for its headquarters,” Haermeyer said.
“The decision reflects Victoria’s position as an internationally competitive investment destination and underlines our status as Australia’s manufacturing heartland,” he said.
The Locker Group employs 250 employees in Australia including 120 at the Dandenong site. The company is Australia’s largest producer of perforated and expanded metal, woven wire mesh products and wire mesh conveyor belt systems.
