Lincoln Electric Australia announces the release of a new patent pending welding fixture featuring a simple 3-in-1 design for use in robotic welding training systems to enhance robotic programming and welding lessons.
The new 3-in-1 adjustable welding fixture is flexible and compact, enabling the welding instructor to teach common and industry-supported joints and positions in welding, all in one simple device. Ideally suited for implementation in systems used for robotic welding education and training, the adjustable fixture provides a suitable option for locating parts and teaching repeatable programming and welding skills.
The 3-in-1 adjustable welding fixture (K4110-1) supports 1mm to 3mm material in the following positions and joints: 2F Horizontal Fillet; 1F Flat Lap; and 2F 3° Clock Lap.
Key features of the new rugged, industrial welding fixtures include durable 6061 T6 aluminium construction; all metal parts on the tooling, minimising maintenance by preventing weld spatter from sticking; low-cost manual clamping system that can be applied to a fixed or stationary table; and ability to weld from 2-inch to 8-inch plates.
The new robotic welding fixture is complemented by Lincoln Electric’s Robotic Project Based Lessons (K3876-1) consisting of 13 lessons that identify objectives and material used and feature step-by-step instructions.
