Lincoln Electric Australia  will focus on a Documented Cost Reduction (DCR) programme designed to help big and small welding operations to cut their costs during the National Manufacturing Week. Lincoln Electric Australia will also display their advanced robotic welding and profile cutting equipment.

Lincoln Electric Australia’s Documented Cost Reduction (DCR) programme analyses all aspects of welding operations, with the goal of saving businesses costs now as well as compounding these savings over the years.

The Documented Cost Reduction (DCR) programme examines factors such as wire feed speed, travel speed and transfer mode to see if welding processes can be enhanced. It also looks at alternative processes that can deliver cost savings and encompasses strategies to reduce clean-up time and downtime.

The Documented Cost Reduction (DCR) programme is also designed to reduce consumable and energy consumption and see if changes in weld design can reduce welding costs.

The Lincoln Electric NMW stand will feature interactive presentations about the DCR program. Technical representatives and welding engineers will discuss and explain its cost-reduction strategies. The Documented Cost Reduction (DCR) programme incorporates an on-site evaluation and consultation with an organisation’s key staff. Cost reduction strategies and annual savings figures will be presented in the report.
