Linco Food Systems are now supplying the new 525 model combined top cross web labeller and Inkjet shift unit from European Labelling System (ELS) as a solution for growing packaging industry concerns about lack of available space.
Where previously the separate ELS 521 top cross web labeller and ELS 620 cross and longitudinal shift unit machines have been offered as packaging labelling solutions the new ELS 525 combines the functionality of both.
The ELS 525 model combined top cross web labeller and Inkjet shift unit makes best use of available space and eliminates the need for an additional control box and longitudinal stroke device for the shift unit element.
For ease of operability the cross shift unit is attached to the fan casing on the ELS 525 top cross web labeller. The top cross web labeller and inkjet shift unit of the ELS 525 share a common SMA 01 control box and is available with an optional touch control panel.
The combined ELS 525 is versatile and lends itself to a variety of package and label printing requirements. The top cross web labeller and inkjet shift unit can be configured for ready-made package labelling in the following ways:
- Labelling directly onto the top of packages,
- Inkjet printing crossways to the web running direction, directly onto the top foil of packages,
- Simultaneous inkjet printing crossway to the web running direction and labelling onto the top of packages, and
- Printing of labels prior to dispensing onto package.
