Fibre Optic Rotary Joints are extensively used in cable reel systems from cranes to sensing systems applications where twist free optical cable is needed. These specialised fibre joints enable interference free signal transmission and are reliable while also being low cost. Three types of fibre optic joints from Hitachi Cable are distributed by LightOptronics Aust namely low loss adaptor type, low loss pigtail type and conventional flat type. The low loss adaptor type joint enables multi channel support through two to twelve ports and are used in cranes, stackers, radar antennas and remotely operated vehicles.

The low loss pigtail fibre joint available from LightOptronics Aust can support multi channels from two to six ports and is also dust resistant. They are used in undersea telemetry, robots and reclaimers. LightOptronics Aust also offers night vision goggles, monoculars, binoculars and weapon sights from Nightline Inc which is a premium brand for night vision products and day-night cameras.
