Queensland Mining and Engineering Exhibition (QME 2004) broadens its appeal

Supplier News

The Queensland Mining and Engineering Exhibition (QME 2004) will for the first time feature the Queensland Construction & Machinery Expo in an effort to attract even more heavy machinery and equipment to the biennial expo.

Following QME 2002, the show’s organiser, Reed Exhibitions, undertook extensive consultation with exhibitors and visitors on how QME could further increase its relevance.

Requests for live demonstrations were a recurring theme so Reed Exhibitions has agreed to establish a live equipment demonstration precinct outside.

Support for the Queensland Construction & Machinery Expo has already been received from industry leaders such as Hitachi Construction Machinery (Australia), Liebherr and Hastings Deering Caterpillar.

Liebherr Australia state manager Steve Green said his company looked forward to being part of QME 2004.

“We will certainly be making use of the demonstration area and look forward to welcoming our customers to this event,” Green said.

QME (2004) will be staged at the Mackay Showgrounds from 27-29 July 2004. For more information visit www.qme.reedexhibitions.com.au
