Lexar Media introduces the new Crucial m4 Solid-State Drives

Supplier News

Leading global provider of digital media memory products, Lexar Media announced the new Crucial m4 solid-state drives designed for general and business customers. Coming in a range of capacities from 64GB to 512GB, the Crucial m4 SSD product line includes Micron’s industry-leading 25-nanometer (nm) NAND flash technology in a 2.5” form factor.

The Crucial m4 solid-state drive also continues supporting the SATA 6Gb/s interface which opens a data path between the host processor and SSD. This improves the responsiveness of the system, quickens application loads and boot times.

Reaching speeds of up to 415MB/s, and 17 percent increase over its predecessor, the new Crucial m4 SSD has a 20 percent advantage over the fastest C300 drive with write speeds up to 260MB/s on a 512 capacity model.

The Crucial m4 SSD product provides benefits for the following:

  • Client computing
  • Notebooks
  • Desktops
  • Workstations
  • Industrial application,
  • Low power consumption requirements
  • Lightweight construction
  • Resistance to shock and vibration necessities
“The new Crucial m4 solid-state drive builds on the enormous success of its predecessor, the Crucial RealSSD C300. As a subsidiary of Micron Technology, we’re in the unique position of leveraging Micron’s NAND development and manufacturing expertise for our Crucial branded SSDs,” said Robert Wheadon, worldwide senior product manager. “These next-generation m4 SSDs offer customers higher capacities and even greater performance at affordable prices.”
