Sourced from the USA, the Faro laser tracker is a high accuracy metrology measuring tool that enables Leussink engineers to measure data points accurately to 2µ over large distances.
Leussink has already employed the tool at an important project as part of the company’s technical alliance with German company Corts (Corts-Leussink alliance). Faro laser tracker was used at a BlueScope hot strip mill where it took measurements and helped to report on the customer’s facility, the actual size of the component that was due for refurbishment, and what aspects of this part needed repair to original condition.
The new tool also includes the Faro articulated arm connected to encoders to allow it to perform in larger areas. Using the two devices at once allows measurement of the front and back of the equipment simultaneously.
