Function/ApplicationsThe Markem-Imaje 9040 inkjet printer has kept the S8 Master’s most valuable attributes; its reliability and flexibility. Markem-Imaje 9040 inkjet features are a combination of two well-known and successful marking products: Markem-Imaje 9020 and Markem-Imaje 9030, and is perfectly suited to high output production environments.
Today the Markem-Imaje 9040 small character inkjet printer, stands as the top of the line Imaje continuous inkjet printer, providing:
- easy integration onto any production line and used for numerous applications; single-jet and bi-jet printheads (enabling up to 8 lines of text with only one print head), one or two printheads, three different printhead resolutions, several umbilical lengths, enhanced connectivity (series, parallel, Ethernet), a wide selection of inks and quick connection and disconnection of accessories.
- several standard printing & marking capabilities; up to 4 lines of text (per jet), several character heights ranging from 0.7 mm to 18.2 mm, printing of all types of codes including Datamatrix, several alphabets.
Markem-Imaje 9040 small character inkjet printer has also integrated the ease of use of the Markem-Imaje 9020 and 9030 inkjet printers: shortcuts to menus, intuitive icons, direct access to consumables, automatic nozzle rinsing system with a new improved nozzle cleaning cycle for hassle-free shutdowns and start-ups.

OPTIONS:The Markem-Imaje 9040 IP65 has been thought-out for humid and dusty environments. Its specificity lies in its ability to be washed with pressurized water when the line is stopped.
An S (high speed) option is available on Markem-Imaje 9040 and Imaje 9040 IP65. This inkjet printer has been developed to suit the beverage industry’s specific marking needs. In fact, it can print up to two 7-dot lines at a maximum speed of 2.7m/s. The space between the two lines has been reduced to 1mm allowing for impeccable print quality on limited space products like cans, PET bottles and glass.
The Markem-Imaje 9040 Contrast inkjet printer has the same ergonomic design and enhanced ease of use as Markem-Imaje 9040. The only difference between the two small character inkjet printers is the ink circuit. Markem-Imaje 9040 Contrast’s ink circuit has been designed to print using pigmented colour inks. This system allows for high quality contrast printing on dark substrates such as cables and automobile parts.
