Lencrow Materials Handling has recently added two new 12,000kg EP forklifts to their casual hire fleet to support the growing requirement for forklifts in civil and mining works.
The two EP model CPQD120 forklifts are fitted with 4000mm masts and fork positioners with side shift.
According to Mr Rodney Jackson, Queensland manager for Lencrow, the requirement for forklifts of this size and type has doubled over the past 24 months with businesses needing new or near new equipment to keep within tight project schedules.
Having won a contract from the RAAF to supply 12 all-terrain air transportable 6000kg forklifts, Lencrow has begun importing the heavy duty Liftking products from Canada. Lencrow currently supplies all terrain units up to 10,000kg in Australia with the ability to supply units up to 25,000kg.
Manitex Liftking has been manufacturing rough terrain forklifts in Toronto for over 30 years, with the units able to stand up to tough environmental conditions in commercial as well as military applications.
Lencrow is currently in negotiations with the Terex Corporation to supply the Terex range of container handling equipment including forklifts and reach stackers to 60,000kg capacity.
Formally known as Fantuzzi, the range has been part of the Lencrow fleet. Lencrow will also be supplying parts and service for existing Fantuzzi and Terex users.
