Safety tailgates address OH&S concerns

Supplier News

HILIFT, represented in Australia by Lencrow , has released tailgates designed to address the Occupational Health and Safety concerns of truck drivers and transport companies. They are designed to protect the driver and ensure that the load is lifted on and off the truck without being damaged.

A safety light in the cabin alerts the driver that the tailgate is not closed properly. Front and side trolley stops prevent trolleys from rolling off and an under run bar protects passengers and the driver in the event of a rear collision.

The tailgate isolator is mounted in the operator's cabin. This is much safer and more secure than having the isolator on the outside. The tailgates have sealing systems to prevent water leakage and load contamination.

The HLTT100/150 and HLTT200 tailgates are manufactured to suit the body size of the truck. They have cordless remote control systems which eliminate cord damage and reduce potential breakdowns.

They also have self-lubricated bushes at pivot points to reduce maintenance and the need for grease which attracts dust and dirt. They are covered by a 24-hour, seven day a week breakdown call system.
