Lencrow Group yesterday announced that their workshop and factory would re-open in three days after being inundated with over a metre of water in the recent Brisbane floods.
Lencrow Group staff had little time to move any equipment off site due to the sudden rising water in surrounding areas. The team did the best they could in the minimal period of time to ensure they could maintain their building.
Lencrow Group's Brisbane Manager, Rod Jackson, tells of how the water inundated the office quicker than they could move goods out.
"[There was] no opportunity to sandbag or remove equipment before the roads were cut," Jackson describes.
The Lencrow Group, which operates materials handling equipment hire and service has been in Rocklea since 1994, and has never seen flooding of this magnitude.
During the three days until the workshop and factory will re-open, the Lencrow team will begin the task of cleaning up, with Jackson determined to get the place back on its feet to get out and help customers and anybody else that needs forklifts for their clean-up efforts.
"We are only here to help people in this time of need and looking only to cover our cost. Our focus is to help the people of Brisbane through this horrendous time,” says Jackson.
Lencrow Group is available to offer equipment at reasonable cost with no excess prices over this difficult time for Brisbane.
