Now available from Lear Siegler Australasia , the Bartec Benke freezing point process analyser is designed to determine the freezing point of liquid, transparent mineral oil products.
A fully automatic device, the freezing point process analyser operates on-line and is able to handle up to two separate streams and a validation input. Its main duty is to monitor and maintain product quality for the in-spec production of aviation turbine fuels and aviation gasoline.
These freezing point process analysers work by cooling a product sample under defined conditions and observing its turbidity. As soon as the crystallisation point is reached, that is the point where solid hydrocarbon crystals are detected, the cooling of the sample is stopped. The freezing point is the temperature at which these solid hydrocarbon crystals completely disappear when the temperature of the fuel is allowed to rise.
This complete freezing point analysis procedure is controlled, monitored and visualised by the process analyser control system software (PACS), which offers a user interface for local analyser operation.
