Lawson M3 Supplier Portal can now run on the Apple iPad with the introduction of support for the Safari browser, according to an announcement by Lawson Software.
One of Lawson’s latest business applications, Lawson M3 Supplier Portal can now be accessed by Apple iPad users with the support for Safari. This offers Lawson customers and their suppliers more choice and greater flexibility in how they access Lawson Supplier Portal.
Lawson customers that have begun using iPad as mobile devices can now access the application while on the move.
Frédéric Champalbert, general manager for Consumer Products for Lawson says that the new development is recognition of the fact that iPad is one of the fastest-growing mobile devices on the market today with more people now using Apple iPads in their work environment.
He adds that by supporting the Safari browser, Lawson is making it possible for their customers and suppliers to access Supplier Portal whether they are at their desk using their traditional laptops and PCs or on-the-go with their iPad.
This development further demonstrates Lawson’s commitment to innovation, choice and platform openness.
Henrik Billgren, vice president of Product Management for Lawson comments that they were among the first software vendors to deliver a Java-based enterprise resource planning solution in the 1990s and have continued to deliver innovation to benefit their customers.
Lawson is committed to delivering simplicity and choice, while helping to reduce total cost of ownership for their customers.
