Lawson Software’s customer Quiksilver Australia voted Top Innovator by Apparel magazine

Quiksilver Australia, a surf, skate and snow fashion brand, has won Apparel magazine’s 2008 Top Innovator award for using Lawson M3 Warehouse Management to support its real-time distribution system (RDS) from Dexion.

Quiksilver Australia is one of 100 innovative fashion companies to be recognised by Apparel, which also acknowledged Lawson Software’s strategic business partnership with the company. A second Lawson Software customer, Delta Galil, an apparel company specialising in intimate apparel, men's underwear and socks, was also voted a Top Innovator award winner.

Since implementing Lawson M3 and the RDS system, Quiksilver Australia has significantly reduced its overall operational costs and improved customer service.

The system has also helped Quiksilver to improve resource management, as well as increase speed and accuracy in areas such as product picking, inventory and invoicing. Furthermore, it has allowed the company to improve delivery service and customer satisfaction.

“We’re delighted to be recognised as a Top Innovator by Apparel,” said Thomas Zulliger, IT manager of Quiksilver Australia.

“Our partnership with Lawson has helped us to enable all distribution transactions to be updated in near ‘real-time’ and replace manual processes with automated ones. This helps save time, increase the accuracy of information and reduce costs.”

“As a result of these improvements, we are now able to focus on other value-adding areas and we are actively investing in training managers, increasing job rotation, enhancing work practices and encouraging multi-skilling.”

Stephen Moore, ANZ Managing Director, Lawson Software, said, “Congratulations to Quiksilver Australia and Delta Galil. We’re delighted to be a business partner to two of Apparel’s 2008 Top Innovators. The award is proof that Lawson solutions can give fashion industry customers the edge they need to stay ahead of the competition.”

Apparel’s100 Top Innovator award recipients will be announced in the May 2008 issue.
