Lawson Software have announced that they are combining their Australian and New Zealand business with their Asia operations to create a unified Asia Pacific regional organisation.
As part of the move, David Hope will take on an expanded role as Lawson Regional Vice President for Asia Pacific. Hope, based in Singapore, has been managing Lawson Asia for the last seven years and now assumes responsibility for Australia and New Zealand.
Current ANZ Managing Director, Stephen Moore has announced his intention to leave the company. Moore has overseen the turn around at Lawson in the local market with several high profile customer deals announced during his tenure.
Ian Desbrow, based in Sydney, will expand his current responsibilities as Director of Sales Operations across Australia and New Zealand to Lawson Sales Director for Australia and New Zealand.
Lawson Software have created a unified Asia Pacific regional organisation to take advantage of the renewed strength of the ANZ market by combining resources with existing Lawson businesses across various Asian markets. The amalgamation of the two regions positions Lawson Software as a key player in the enterprise software market in the Asia Pacific region.
According to Hope, by combining the regions, they are able to create a more streamlined, focused and customer driven organisation.
