LABEL Power has released the Primera LX800 industrial-grade ink jet printer. It offers 4800 dpi resolution, full-colour label capacity, bar coding and overprinting. Offers all of the same features as a thermal transfer printer and off-site pre-printed label printer in one. It can print small to medium volume runs and is capable of continuous, high-speed label printing.
It produces high-definition bar codes, long-lasting full-colour labels, a variety of media stocks and the ability to link to internal databases and networks. It is capable of printing full colour labels and tags including bar codes and human readable data for everything for primary products, cartons and product packages.
Any font already installed on the linked or networked PC can be printed, giving the users maximum flexibility and creativity in all of their label and tag designs. Label sizes range from 38.1mm to 203.2mm wide drum or petrochemical label, and as long as 609.6mm. It can print at approximately 51mm/s for black, 38mm/s for colour and black and has a 254mm/s feed rate. The user can print one label at a time or thousands a day.
It can print on to many different stocks, including special high-gloss, matt and semi-gloss labels. The special high-gloss label stock from Label Power is water-resistant making the LX800 suitable for refrigerated primary products and retail labelling, primary or secondary labels, or any substrate that may be exposed to light condensation, rain, high-humidity and snow.
It is also suitable for printing on to tags, synthetics, continuous forms, transparent polyesters and low-tack adhesive materials. ensuring that it is suitable for most applications and industries.
It is supplied with dye and pigment ink types. Two types of black ink cartridges are available, a dye-based black for printing on virtually all types of gloss and semi-gloss label and tag stocks, and a pigment-based black for superior bar code scanning and a higher level of water/UV resistance.
It has a durable metal frame and a tough sheet metal case, making it suitable for harsh production environments, busy warehouses and factory floors as well as office desktops. Label materials are stored inside the printer cabinet to protect them from dust and dirt. Replacing ink cartridges and labels takes seconds.
From initial set-up to full operation, the LX800 is easy to use. The Windows XP/2000 drivers control all printer functions. Lite Label design software from NiceWare and a sample roll of high-gloss, water-resistant labels are also included.
