LX Group has been recognised as one of Australia’s ‘Coolest’ businesses, being awarded the AusIndustry Innovation Award by Anthill Magazine at its Sixth Annual Cool Company Awards.
LX Design House was presented with this award for its innovative system that is still in the development stages. The system uses a electroencephagraphic headset to read and then translate brain impulses into actions or movements by electronic devices, such as a robot or television.
The Cool Company Awards, launched in 2006 by Anthill Magazine, acknowledge and celebrate Australian organisations that do things in a different way, to bring about positive change.
The awards attracted more than 700 nominations in 2011, making it among the largest business award programs in Australia. LX Group were proud to be the winner of this prestigious award after the thorough examination and cross examination of the hundreds of companies in the running.
James Tuckerman, Editor-In-Chief, Anthill Magazine explains that the judging of the Cool Company Awards takes into account many criteria including the disruptive nature of the product or service to the culture of the organisation.
James says “The Cool Company Awards are extremely egalitarian... Previous winners have included two-person start-ups, not-for-profit social enterprises, large private companies and publicly-listed corporations.”
