LX Group was involved with the development of an innovative medical device that recently won an Australian International Design Award in recognition of design and innovation excellence.
HypoMon by AIMEDICS is a non-invasive monitor and alarm for sleep time hypoglycaemic episodes. The device triggers an alarm at the transmitter and monitor to alert the user and caregiver if physiological changes characteristic of hypoglycaemia occur.
HypoMon is suitable for people with Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus between 10 and 25 years of age.
AIMEDICS Chairman, Mr Martin Greenberg commented that the award was acknowledgement of their significant, ongoing and relevant investment into the HypoMon technology.
CEO of AIMEDICS, Mr Victor Skladnev said that the HypoMon went through a vigorous assessment by a panel of Australian and international experts. He adds the award is further confirmation that the HypoMon will solve a significant problem for people with insulin-dependent diabetes.
LX Director Simon Blyth also expressed his happiness at AIMEDICS’ win at the awards. LX had worked with the HypoMon electronics team on the development of the device.
