Loctite (Henkel Australia) is helping to raise interest in this year's international student product development competition. The competition is officially called Student Vision 2050: Henkel Innovation Challenge. It is the fourth year in a row that this product development competition has been held. For the first time teams from 14 European countries as well as teams from the Asia Pacific region, specifically Australia, China, India and Malaysia, will be taking part.
Students must organise themselves into teams of either two or three and after registering online, before 13 December 2010, they must get together and come up with a product development concept. This concept must be for a product under a Henkel brand that will meet the needs of people living in the year 2050. The best team from each country will be determined in national finals that will be held at the beginning of 2011. The international final is scheduled to take place in Berlin in April 2011.
The winners will each receive an around the world ticket and travel vouchers to the value of 1,000 Euros. The three best teams will also get the chance to meet with Henkel CEO Kasper Rorsted. This international student product development competition gives Henkel a good opportunity to get to know what young creative talent is available and also get these young people interested in the company early in their career paths.
