Leading speciality chemicals company LANXESS Pty Ltd
will be introducing its newest line of products at the upcoming Singapore International Water Week (SIWW).
In its second year at the SIWW, LANXESS will be showcasing its latest products including Lewabrane Reverse Osmosis (RO) membrane for the first time in Southeast Asia.
Launched in March this year, the Lewabrane RO membrane for reverse osmosis complements LANXESS’ established Lewatit ion exchange resins. To be produced at the company’s new Bitterfeld, Germany production site, the products consist of two RO element types with different capacities that are based on a three-layer composite membrane structure manufactured in several production stages.
LANXESS’ entry into reverse osmosis membrane technology is an essential step forward in the field of water treatment, allowing the company to provide its customers with premium products as a single-source supplier for both separation technologies.
According to Wolfgang Heuchel, VP of the APAC region, Ion Exchange Resins (ION) business unit of LANXESS, ION’s Lewabrane and Lewatit product ranges will enable the company to meet the drinking water needs of the populations in several Asian countries as a ‘one stop shop supplier’ of integrated water technologies that aid the creation of high-quality water.
‘Water Solutions for Liveable and Sustainable Cities’ is the theme for the SIWW this year, which reinforces the pressing need to integrate sustainable water management strategies into the urban planning process, and is aligned with LANXESS’ commitment to provide technologies that offer sustainable solutions.
The SIWW is being held at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre Exhibition and will run from 2 July to 4 July. LANXESS integrated water treatment solutions can be viewed at Booth No. J22.
