Kubota is celebrating its 40th year of excavator production.
Kubota’s first excavator, the KH-1 mini excavator was manufactured in 1974 and immediately made an impact in the construction industry, laying the foundation for a long history of providing rugged, reliable construction equipment.
The first Kubota excavator to arrive into Australia was the KH-1D in 1979, with the company’s reputation for reliability and performance powering the brand into a market leading position. The year 1991 saw the launch of the current KX series of conventional tail swing excavators, a range that has been updated and improved for over 20 years with the newest member, the KX018-4, manufactured in a state-of-the-art Kubota facility in Zweibruecken, Germany. The zero tail swing U series followed in 2002 in response to a shift towards excavator usage in space-constrained areas, and now sits proudly alongside the current day KX series.
While Kubota has manufactured excavators in its Hirakata (Japan) plant since 1974, their products are now also produced in Zweibruecken (Germany). Though manufactured in overseas factories, Kubota excavators destined for the Australian marketplace go through extensive testing and refinements to ensure they stand up to the harsh Australian environment.
Kubota is represented in Australia by Kubota Tractor Australia .
