Kreisson Legal to conduct free workshops and training for building and construction industry

Supplier News

Kreisson Legal , building and construction law firms will conduct free workshops and training for key project personnel from companies in that sphere.

Kreisson Legal perform the majority of work from client premises and not from their office, and have conducted industry workshops to educate on the following four key topics affecting the industry:

  • Security of payment act
  • Contract administration
  • Defending claims for defective work
  • Reasons why builders do not get their variation paid

Kreisson Legal partner, Mr David Glinatsis, says the building and construction industry is often overlooked as far as education on industry issues is concerned.

He observes that most companies in the industry have no contact with a legal specialist until they are involved in a court dispute and that education and training on key matters has been overlooked. Each workshop is about 90 minutes in length, but it can be customised to deal with any specific needs of a business. These workshops can be spread as individual session over the course of a year or grouped together in a day event.

The workshops are conducted in practical English to benefit all company personnel. The workshops will be conducted by Kreisson Legal’s building and construction team, which has expanded through its involvement in a number of recent Supreme court decisions in this industry sector.

Glinatsis notes that the exercise will assist companies and their project teams to develop knowledge and understanding of issues relevant to business, especially during tough economic times.
