Kontron Australia announces a technology collaboration between Kontron and Napatech to demonstrate a live telecom network analysis platform based on the off-the-shelf, NEBS-compliant Kontron communication rackmount server CG2100 and Napatech NEBS-compliant adapter cards.
Live product demonstrations will be hosted by Napatech at Booth 2G28, Hall 2.0 during Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, February 27 – March 1, 2012.
The interoperable carrier grade off-the-shelf platform is targeted at telecom equipment manufacturers (TEMs) who seek a significantly improved time-to-market for the design of network monitoring, management, security, and test and optimisation applications. The demo will illustrate how telecom equipment vendors can speed up system-level designs.
The demo will feature carrier grade Kontron communication rackmount server CG2100 with dual 6-core Intel Xeon processors as well as the Napatech NT20E-NEBS 2x10 Gbps NEBS-compliant network adapter and its deep packet capture and throughput acceleration features.
Henrik Brill Jensen, CEO, Napatech explains that there is a greater need for real-time network intelligence and dedicated, high performance systems to effectively manage, analyse, test, secure and optimise telecom IP networks.
He adds that the integrated NEBS-compliant Kontron servers and Napatech adapters will enable TEMs to reliably meet the stringent needs of telecom carriers for broad deployment of network analysis systems.
According to Benoit Robert, Executive Director, product management, Kontron, working with Napatech to pre-validate the interoperability of its adapters will provide added value to TEMs who seek greater competitive edge and quicker time-to-revenue.
