Fixing timber to heavy steel has been a slow and difficult task, which involves pre-drilling the holes and then inserting one screw at a time. The Quikdrive Heavy Duty collated screw system, available from Konnect makes it possible to fasten to steel up to 8mm thick without pre drilling.
The Quikdrive Heavy Duty collated screw system is available for fixing to 3mm steel, saving up to 30% in application time and 10% in screw wastage due to the collated strip.
The Quikdrive HSD75 screw system will drive 14g screws up to 75mm in length into steel up to 8mm thick with ease. The screw system can be used with the tool extension for flooring applications.
By attaching a screw gun that spins no faster than 2000rpm, the Quikdrive HSD75 screw system is able to drive screws through timber into heavy gauge steel without hassle, and by adding the tool extension there is no need to bend over. This makes it suitable for repetitive fixing as well as for boardwalks and docks with steel framing.
A new range of Type 17 batten screws is also available, which allows fastening of timber decking to timber joists with the same ease and time saving capabilities.
