World-leading crane service organisation, Konecranes has expanded its Kalgoorlie branch to provide global service capabilities delivered with local knowledge and expertise.
Located at 206 Duggan Street, the new larger branch is led and staffed by local residents of the district, who are familiar with the unique businesses of their customers and their individual needs.
According to Konecranes Perth Branch Manager Mr Nigel Brooks, the company believes local knowledge is vital to efficient service and avoidance of downtime, achieved by having service staff who not only are familiar with customer installations, but also can respond to their service needs more quickly and efficiently than fly-in, fly-out staff.
The Kalgoorlie branch has therefore been substantially expanded to its largest ever size to accommodate greater technician, service, training and technology areas to further reflect the company’s global strengths and to make these efficiency and safety capabilities available to customers.
One of the world’s leading manufacturers of overhead cranes for a broad range of major industries including mining and energy, manufacturing and metal fabrication processing, ports and shipping, resources infrastructure and manufacturing, packaging and paper processing, and workshop and heavy maintenance, Konecranes has more than 410,000 cranes of all makes under service contract worldwide.
Konecranes Australia-New Zealand business recently received the group’s global safety award for outstanding performance among operations spanning 47 countries, 609 locations and 11,700 employees.
Konecranes’ Kalgoorlie operation led by Supervisor Chris Panayi can call on the experience and expertise of a company noted for its innovative and radical crane design and maintenance procedures.
Konecranes has also introduced a Crane Reliability Surveys and Third Party Inspections service for industry, designed to ensure that users of all makes and models of cranes are fully compliant with the latest Australian Standards governing their use.
