The KONE EcoDisc hoisting machine is the core technology of all our elevators. It employs a permanent magnet synchronous motor, frequency control, and low-friction gearless construction.
The KONE EcoDisc hoisting machine - very compact and cost-effective The advanced axial flux permanent magnet motor weighs only half that of a conventional power unit. This saves construction costs by minimising the elevator space requirements. In addition, the slim shape facilitates KONE’s unique machine-room-less layout.
