KINGSTON Technology has expanded its Data Traveler Elite USB product line with a new 4GB version – the largest capacity DataTraveler product to date.
The DataTraveler Elite has a unique combination of hardware and software-based security that allows unprecedented access control and encrypted data protection, all in a portable, compact device.
"Kingston's new 4GB DataTraveler offers premium performance and data safeguarding over other USB drives on the market," said Keith Hamilton, Regional Manager, Kingston Technology.
"Many USB drives offer some level of software encryption, but the Kingston DataTraveler Elite also boasts enhanced, inbuilt hardware security and greater storage space to ensure information is secure for professional users working in IT and corporate or government environments," he added.
DataTraveler Elite's TravelerSafe+ software enables users to set password access for a private data storage area that utilises 128-bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) hardware-based encryption.
When a DataTraveler Elite is removed from a system, all threads to the information are terminated and if it is lost or stolen, the advanced hardware encryption system protects the data against unauthorised access.
Taking advantage of the USB 2.0 Hi-Speed Interface, DataTraveler Elite has data transfer rates of up to 24 MB/sec., read and 14 MB/sec., write, making it one of the fastest USB devices available.
Available from Kingston's Australian distributors, Simms International, Ingram Micro and Synnex.
