A NEW product from Kinder & Co significantly reduces the most common wear and tear factors suffered by conveyor return rollers.
The company's K-CDRT roller comprises a standard return roller fitted with wear resistant polyurethane outer tracking discs and inner ceramic tile covered rubber discs, thus providing the most appropriate reinforcement in the highest wear area.
This arrangement provides extreme anti-wear properties on the inner discs and friction on the outer tracking discs to keep the belt true.
Managing director Neil Kinder says developing the K-CDRT to replace common return rollers has seen it increase life substantially on conveyor systems transporting extremely abrasive material.
"This product is ideal for the iron and steel processing as well as the cement and minerals smelting industries.
"In particular, the K-CDRT is highly efficient when used in sinter, coke, or blast furnace slag conveying applications where the carryback is extremely abrasive and is the primary cause of premature roller shell wear."
Available for all belt widths, retrofitting is not a problem because rollers can supplied to be dimensionally interchangeable with the existing units.
