K-Wind Guards from Kinder & Co are designed to prevent mistracking in conveyor structures caused by exposure to crosswinds.
A crosswind that hits a conveyor without a cover can cause the belt to mistrack. High conveyor structures with steep inclines in particular are prone to this type of mistracking due to exposure to high winds. Factors such as belt width, weight of the product pulling on the belt and the troughing angle can all combine to affect the overall product surface that is caught by the wind.
Off-centre tracking of the belt occurs when it is constantly subjected to a sidewind. K-Wind Guards can be installed to act as an effective shield from the elements and help prevent conveyor belt mistracking as well as potential product loss from the crosswind. Part of Kinder & Co’s conveyor hardware range, K-Wind Guards are simple to install by bolting on to the existing frames.
Made of 1.2mm thick ZincAnneal steel sheets, K-Wind Guards are available in two sizes: 883mm x 530mm and 578mm x 430mm. Featuring cross breaks for added stiffening, the guards also have hemmed edges to avoid injury.
