The force of material dropping on to a conveyor belt at a conveyor loading or transfer point can cause severe damage to the belt. Conventional impact rollers offer support across the width of the belt, but not along the entire length of the loading zone. This can lead to conveyor maintenance problems such as bent idler stands and roll failure.
Now available from Kinder & Co , the Argonics’ Load Zone Impact Bars are designed to overcome these problems, by providing maximum support over the entire loading area, preventing belt damage and minimising product spillage.
The Load Zone Impact Bars are made of Kryptane urethane and are engineered to absorb and disperse the forces of impact as the product drops onto the belt.
Unlike standard impact bars, which can amplify the kinetic energy produced by the impact of material, the Load Zone Impact Bar utilises an Energy Dispersion Cavity (EDC) to provide protection for the belt surface.
Mechanically keyed to the Kryptane urethane is a layer of UHMWP (Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene). This provides the wear surface to the conveyor belt and offers a smooth, friction reducing surface, which also minimises heat buildup and belt wear.
The Argonics’ Load Zone Impact Bars are available in standard lengths of 122cm, 140cm, 152cm and 183cm. All bars come standard with a heavy duty extruded aluminum insert, which provides rigidity and is designed to be installed using a standard 13mm grade 8 bolt and washer, reducing cost by eliminating expensive T-bolts.
