A tile elevator from specialist equipment hire company, Kennards Lift and Shift , made a roof renovation job easy, according to the contractor. Trade Stop Property Solutions stripped the tiles off a period home in Melbourne and replaced them with Colorbond.
Trade Stop Property Solutions were able to run the elevator from their scaffold to a skip in the street, making the job of stripping the tiles and removing them from the site with ease. This tile elevator also eliminated the need for manual barrowing or picking up of broken tiles.
The tile elevator runs on normal power, can span a staggering 14m and even has a forward and reverse function. After removing the tiles, they switched the elevator to the forward function and moved their heavy duty 7.2m x 10.8m tarpaulins from Kennards Hire up on to the roof in seconds.
Kennards Lift and Shift also have brick-block elevators with mud buckets as well as a new 10m elevator that can handle tiles, bricks, blocks and mud.
