KENNARDS Hire has released the Hydra Wedge for lifting up to 60t when a gap of only 5mm is available for tool insertion. It provides the initial lift so that other devices can be then used.
Users work the hydraulic mechanism handle up and down to drive the wedge between its jaws. They then pump the handle enough to elevate the equipment high enough of he ground to be able to fit other lifting equipment such as forklift slippers.
Once this is done a standard lifting machine can do the rest of job. The system can be used at any angle and can be self contained. The Hydra Wedge is suitable whether the object is on the floor or on a more elevated platform.
