Kennards Hire Geelong supplied portable LED utility lights for temporary lighting applications at a project on the Deakin University Waurn Ponds Campus.
The project involved the conversion of a bank agency into a students’ café and was executed by the leading commercial property services group, ISIS.
Peter Conlon, site manager for ISIS said normally they would have drawn connections for temporary lighting from the concrete slab above.
“However, due to the complexity of the ceiling, which had different types of finishes and heights, we thought it better to go with these freestanding, floor-mounted lights,” he said.
The LED utility lights feature industrial strength qualities while retaining their compact and portable advantages.
Portable utility lights offer up to 12 hours of illumination on a full charge and weigh only 7.7kg.
Other design features include a double-sided head, height adjustment up to 1.2m and tilt adjustment up to 60 degrees.
Being LED lights, very little heat is generated and work can be done comfortably in this lighting. When not in use, the lights retract into a 600mm high carry case.
Portable LED utility lights can be hired from Kennards Hire at any of their over 100 general and specialist hire centres.
