Kennards Hire has added two new specialist business units to expand its specialist equipment hire operations with large pumps, large generators and traffic control equipment now available for hire around Australia.

Kennards Hire currently has four specialist business units operating under a national structure. The two new units, Kennards Hire Pump & Power and Kennards Hire Traffic join the previous operations, Kennards Concrete Care and Kennards Lift & Shift.

The establishment of Kennards Hire Pump & Power and Kennards Hire Traffic completes a staged process, which began two years ago when the first large generators, large pumps and traffic control equipment were introduced in some states.

These operations have gradually expanded to the point that there are now separate hire centres in all mainland states, in many cases on new sites, with new facilities and a dedicated team of product experts.

Fully-owned by Kennards Hire, the four business units operate as separate entities, working closely with the network of general equipment hire centres to meet the needs of customers.

Kennards Hire is investing more than $10 million this year on new equipment for the Pump & Power and Traffic operations. A large number of new pumps and generators, including additional 200kVA units will be added to Pump & Power hire centres across Australia.

Kennards Hire Traffic hire centres will have new equipment including five-colour trailer-mounted VMS boards with new software to allow customers to change messages at will.
