KENNARDS Hire has expanded its range of elevating work platforms by introducing medium rough terrain scissor lifts.
The JLG 260MRT provides a large, safe, stable work platform in situations ranging from rough building sites to slightly sloping slabs and footpaths.
Diesel-powered, with self-levelling outriggers, it provides a platform height of up to 7.92m.
The large, sturdy work platform is 1.65m by 2.59m, and has a load capacity of 567kg.
Battery electric-powered, 9.75m and 5.8m scissor lifts, which are suitable for level slab use, are also available.
Kennards also has a limited number of boom lifts and spider lifts on trial at select locations.
The 12. boom lift has a dual operating system, running on either diesel or battery electric power. It weighs less than 3 tonnes, has a lifting capacity of 120kg, is a mere 1.5m wide, and can outreach (horizontally extended) to 6m.
The spider lift, which is designed for areas of limited access, has rubber tracks for soft or uneven ground. It is not necessary to tow this machine into position because it is self-driving. It is also dual-powered, with both 240V electric motor and petrol engine.
The outriggers retract, so the machine can slip through a space just 0.83m wide. It can take a load of up to 200kg enabling two people to work from the basket.
Kennards Hire has more than 80 locations across Australia.
