A simple, two piece aluminium scaffolding system from Kennards Hire has provided an ideal work platform for Scarrott Builders at a challenging harbour side home site
The Kwikscaf aluminium scaffolding system:
- consists of a fold-up frame and plank
- can be transported in a panel van
- carried by one man; and
- assembled in seconds.
“With 80 steps down to the pool, I was looking for a fold-up scaffolding unit that was easy to carry and erect,” he says. “This one was perfect for the site.”
Providing a versatile 1.2 metre high work platform, Kwikscaf aluminium scaffolding is suitable for use on flat surfaces, or those with a small gradient.
Another unit is available from Kennards for use on flat surfaces, uneven ground or stairs. Universal Scaffolding consists of three pieces, and like Kwikscaf, can be carried and erected by one man.
This mobile scaffolding system can be erected with platform heights ranging from 0.5 to 1.7m. The base is 700mm by 1.8m, and it has a safe working load limit of 200kg.
Universal Scaffolding systems also feature lockable castors on each end frame, which can be adjusted in 25mm increments to a maximum of 275mm.
These systems are particularly well suited for areas with narrow access, and for getting through doorways.
Kennards Hire also offers standard aluminium scaffolding towers, in single or double platform widths.
