A new K9-2 Dingo mini loader from Kennards Hire offered superior performance at a building site where access was extremely limited.
The slab of a luxury, two-storey house was 15 metres below road level. A 1.1 metre-wide cavity between the slab and the rock face had to be cleared to allow waterproofing and air flow.
Being just 780mm wide, the K9-2, which is one of the smallest Dingo models ever made, had no trouble getting into the space to remove soil and rock, which had been broken up with a jackhammer.
Operations Manager Siamak Taheri said that the Dingo was the right machine for the job.
Henry Bryce, who operated the machine, said he was surprised how powerful it was considering its size.
He used the Dingo mini loader to clear a pathway next to the house by moving big rocks and chunks of concrete around so that he could get into the void. Mr Bryce found the Dingo mini loader easy to operate and manoeuvre.
The K9-2 features a 16HP Vanguard petrol engine, independent wheel drive technology and a two-pump hydraulic system to power attachments.
Advantages include fast ground speed and an exceptional full lift height for loading a ute or skip bin.
Bucket, trencher and posthole attachments are available.
