KENNARDS Hire , with 79 outlets across Australia, has introduced concertina barricades, providing another option for making work sites safer. Made of lightweight poly propylene, the expanding barriers are very flexible, easy to transport and quick to erect.
Each unit is four metres long, weighs 15kg and can be assembled and put in place in under 20 seconds. Fully closed, a unit is just 101mm thick. The 2.3m wide weldmesh panels are set into concrete blocks with six holes for flexibility.
Kennards Hire’s other equipment used to help with the setting up of work sites includes traditional barricades, temporary fencing, road plates, road warning signs, safety tape, traffic cones, portable toilets and showers, and storage containers.
Temporary fencing, introduced mid-year by Kennards, has proved very popular with contractors, particularly when only a small quantity is needed. Unlike some other suppliers, Kennards does not stipulate a minimum quantity, which makes it ideal for small jobs.
