Star 10 vertical lift has an enormous three metres outreach, 345 degrees rotation and zero tail swing.
The Star 10 vertical lift is battery-powered and can be driven while the mast is extended to its 10 metre maximum working height.
The Star 10 is ideal for shopping centres, factories, warehouses with narrow aisles but can also be used in a variety of other locations including outdoors.
The Star 10 vertical lift has a platform height of 8 metres and can carry 200kg.
The platform is 920mm long and 670mm wide. The unit compacts to a handy height of 1.99 metres.
“The long reach is great for getting out over obstacles,” said Nick Lignos, who uses one of the units regularly for maintenance work in a large shopping complex.
We use it for erecting signs and replacing lights to cleaning gutters outside.
“It is as safe and easy to use as a scissor lift, but it’s a lot more flexible because you can swing the basket almost a full circle without having to move the machine. When you do move it, you can turn in really tight spaces.”
Star 10 lifts can be hired at this stage from Kennards in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney, with availability likely to be extended.
Other new elevating work platforms introduced by Kennards Hire over the past two years include self-propelled manlifts and boom lifts, tracked cherry pickers and medium rough terrain scissor lifts.
