Global recruitment firm, Kelly Services celebrated 20 years in the Australian staffing industry. The anniversary was celebrated with the visit of Carl T. Camden, President and Chief Executive Officer, Kelly Services, from 25 to 26 August.
Established in Australia in 1988 through a series of acquisitions, Kelly Services became fully operational a year later with offices in Adelaide, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Melbourne and Sydney. In the 1990s, Kelly Services expanded to Perth and Canberra and witnessed the launch of Kelly Scientific Resources in 1999.
By 2002, Kelly Services had more than 20 offices and furthered their strengths by adding Kelly Engineering Resources. Kelly Services’ network is now fully operational in all states and territories with offices opening in Darwin.
James Bowmer, Managing Director, Kelly Services, said the 20 year anniversary was a sign of how far they have travelled in establishing their mark in Australia. Kelly Services were one of the first to establish specialist units covering Recruitment Process Outsourcing, Business Process Outsourcing, Vendor Management Solutions and HR Consulting Services.
The Outsourcing and Consulting practice now makes up 25% of Kelly Services’ business. Kelly Services continue to design and deliver value-add tools, processes and programmes to support talent acquisition.
Faced with a tight labour market and multi-generational workforce, Kelly Services’ strategy is to meet the needs of their customers, across all levels of the business, by taking advantage of the industry expertise through qualified consultants.
