Kasa Redberg partnered with BHR Group (formerly British Hydraulics Research Association) in May 2008, to run the first of many rounds of its new training seminars on Advanced Slurry Pumping and Pipelines.
These training seminars were so well received and attended that both Kasa Redberg and BHR Group have decided to continue their partnership and hold another series of slurry training seminars in March 2009.
Based on previous attendee feedback, the Advanced Slurry Pumping & Pipelines training seminar will be updated to include more detailed slurry pipeline design calculations as well as information on the latest ANSI/HI slurry related standards.
Additional information relating to NPSHR correction of slurry pumps and the pumping of froth will also be added to the existing seminar program.
The attendees can learn about determining slurry properties from laboratory tests; calculating head loss for settling and non-settling slurries; determining slurry pump de-ratings; centrifugal slurry pumps and positive displacement slurry pumps; pipeline design tips; piping configurations; series pumping; gland water setups etc.
Both Kasa Redberg and BHR Group also have space available in their March 2009 schedule to offer the Advanced Slurry Pumping and Pipelines training seminar as a private (i.e. in-house) seminar to a limited number of organisations.
