The idea is simple: it is a labelled identification tag, which is tied around the end of an electrical cable, allowing us to correctly identify which appliance is plugged in and where ensuring one never pulls out the wrong plug again!
The inventors of Kableflags Joe Diaz and Rabih Moughelbay commenced their business 5 years ago in a shed at Diaz’s house in suburban Adelaide and have since seen the business transform into an export operation now employing 10 people in a modern factory warehouse facility.
The inspiration for Kableflags came when Rabih accidentally unplugged a fax machine causing him to miss out on an important business deal. Rabih shared the idea with his then business advisor Joe and in 2003; the pair developed Kableflags and committed to getting it into stores
In January this year Kableflags was launched at the worlds biggest Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas (CES 2007) to an overwhelming response from an American public anxious to get their hands on the product.. As a result, the company is now in full scale production with an initial order of 2 shipping containers full of Kableflags packs to be delivered to the USA by June and another container load bound for Europe.
The company is confident of selling over 2 million packs into the USA over the next 12-24 months based on the population of the US marketplace against Australian sales.
With export growth the inventors now enjoy a full car park of vehicles to arrive to every day having provided jobs for the local community on the back of a simple idea. It is a very satisfying feeling to know that an idea can spawn real jobs and wages for needy people in search of employment,

In April 2005, Kableflags was awarded a Gold medal of distinction at the International Exhibition of Inventions and New Products’ in Geneva a milestone event for the company that reinforced that the concept was destined for success.
Millions of flags have been sold to homes and offices around the country and the pair receive hundreds of personalised letters every year from customers who are thrilled with their Kableflags.
